Customer testimonials for your small business can be a valuable marketing tool … if done the right way. But how do you get a customer testimonial that is meaningful?

I’ve found that politely asking long-term clients for feedback works best. When they let you know how pleased they are with the work, ask them if they would mind if you featured their comments on your website or in a brochure. I’ve yet to run into a client that said “no”. I am a mortgage broker and want find out how I can fund small business loans too. can I broker them to banks?

i am doing a project for a class and i need help with coming up with advertising ideas. here are some examples that i am looking for….flyers placed on car windshields and door hangers advertising the business? can anyone think of any more ideas like these that would be for advertising for a small business. these things would be print ideas, no internet things, thats another part of the project that i have to do that i havent done yet. also if anyone has any creative advertising things that they have done in the past….thanks!

Would like to start small business photography?

I’m interested in starting my own photography business in the Indiana area. I do not have a degree but I have been ‘hired’ to take pictures for friends and family who wouldn’t other wise be able to afford an expensive photographer.

My questions are this: Where would I start? Who do I register with? Should I rent a building? How would I get a small business loan and where?

Small business planning – no excuses, you need to write it down! Before you condemn me and say “he’s dead wrong”, let me share what I have seen. There are two schools of though about starting a business – one is “Jump In” and the other is “What If”.
