I want to start a home-based business. Any ideas? I can type 65 wpm, I am bilingual (Spanish and English), and I am a freelance writer (published several times.) What would be the best choice of a business to start up with those skills? I really really want to do this and need to do it to help with the bills.

I am disabled and am looking for a legitimate home based business idea or something I could do at home to make a small income. There are so many scams out there.
Thanks to all for your answers. It seems that even though people say “this is not a scam” I have looked into all the answers. Some have not answered my e-mails yet, but so far they are answer lots of these surveys and sign up for lots of things(magazines, credit cards…) and we will send you 75 cents.

If you are lucky, you have started a home business based on the recommendation of a friend or relative. These are people that you can usually trust to give you good advice. 1. One thing you can do is join a discussion group that is based around the theme of Internet marketing or home businesses. You can find these by going to your favorite search engine and typing in the words “home and business forums”.

Right now I work part time and until I get my narcolepsy taken care of I really can’t work a full time job. However, the pay just isn’t cutting it. I’d like to find some sort of job I can do at home to bring in some extra cash and to keep me busy. I’m not talking those earn thousands your first week schemes either.
