For a first-timer is it better to own a franchise or start a small business in Australia?

- Given that if you start a small business, one would be better – off having an idea – because of all the cut-throat competition out there?
- How would one decide what is better (small business or Franchise)?
- How does one decide when they know they want to have a business but no idea what kind of business to be involved in?
- And how do they decide what area of business (for example: food, sales, marketing, etc) is best for them?

Why not start a “people franchise”? It eliminates your overheads and many other hurdles…plus you have the ability to get cash flow positive alot sooner.
