Has anyone (normal) actually earned money by starting a home business with an MLM or Network Marketing company?

Like a lot of people we need a few extra bucks a month just now, having been made redundant in these economic times and got bills to pay… So it would be interesting to know if any of these great sounding opportunities actually can be worthwhile signing for… And if so just HOW do you make them work?

It’s an interesting question and it’s true that well over 80% (probably at least 90% or even 95%) never make any real money in MLM or Network Marketing enterprises.
This is due to a combination of factors but especially due to the fact that people get so ‘hyped’ about staring a ‘business’ and they jump in with both feet madly trying to promote their ‘new’ business and get others to buy products and/or ‘sign on’, then they find they get little response and the wind soon goes out of their sails.
They get deflated and then they give up. BUT they actually maybe make a few sales so they earn money for the parent company during that eager to please phase — but not enough to really make it worth their while keep making all those calls, hassling their friends and family and all that kind of stuff.
Coincidentally (and regarding how to make a business like this actually work) this is why using the new opportunities provided by the Internet have proven so effective for annoyingly, ‘cocky’, but massively successful young MLM multi-millionaires like this:

if you are a fan of robert kiyosaki, then you may agree to his point that internet marketing and network marketing are the best apart from traditional business setup.
Be careful for those that stress on fast money game without any solid business fundamentals/productsservices. These are ponzi and not substainable.
Exercise caution for those traditional mlm because every step will lead you deeper and you are forced buy/sell their products.

Hi there i read your question and i can tell you that i went to this website that they train you by video and they give phone support. The mentor is a prov en millionaire not that i was looking to be a millionaire but i needed extra money as a single mom. There is a small cost to be a club member but when i signed up i made money in the first 3days that paid me back for the membership fee. Network Marketing is such a huge industry. There is tonnes of potential to make some REALLY good money. I personally know a lot of people making unreal money, and I also know a lot that make none or very very little. Here is the reason why many fail. They have zero training. They are brought in from a friend or family member that has no training as well. This is like the blind leading the blind, then within the first 1 month no money is made and people quit.
Another problem, is people turn into SALES people. People hate to be sold, i bet if I asked you “do you like to be sold” your answer would be no. So when people go out to their friends and family and offer them an opportunity and they say NO, they start to hound them about how their company is so good and how the product is so good etc etc. This is NOT effective.
There is an amazing way to make a network marketing company work, and if you are serious about taking action and joining a company, you’ll need the training.

The short answer is that anyone in network marketing isn’t normal and yes I have made money.
In all honesty is doesn’t matter what company you join (legit ones) its about having a system in place that generates leads. If you can’t put your business in front of a lot of people you will fail. Think about it if you ran ad in the newspaper and you got a 100 leads and only 10 signed up, you would fair better than trying to recruit family members and friends. People don’t advertise so they fail.
