Try the SBA before you go to a bank.
Have collateral, good credit, and a track history of being in Business. This is what the bank will base its decision on.
I hate to burst your bubble but it has taken me 20 years on business and making a profit to get a bank to back me. Now all I need to do is see my friendly banker and they are dying to give me a loan. But in that 20 yrs I have built up a huge portfollio of Real Esate investments, stock investments, and money in the bank.
You have to start small and work your way up like I did. Check into the Small Business Administration for your first loan for a business.
Go to http://www.score.org/ to find the nearest SCORE chapter. Contact them to arrange for a free one on one meeting with a SCORE counselor about applying for a small business loan.
