google webmaster tools
You can put your site in to Yahoo! here; http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
You also should advertise your site where possible in forums and such, but try not to go overboard and spam.
I am assuming you are talking about your business website.
There are several ways to get your business website indexed in the search engines
You could submit your site to each search engine. Takes some time for them to get around to crawling your site
You could build links to your website from other indexed sites. Quite effective if done properly
