Almost anyone with a great business idea, a solid business plan and adequate funding can start a business. Starting any business is the easy part, but running it,is where things start to become complicated. Most people have no idea how to run, maintain and succeed in a small business. That is why many small businesses end up going out of business in less than a year. That first year is the most crucial period when you have just started a business. This is the time you will be able to gauge your business and know whether there is a future for it or not.
When you start a business, you are the decision maker of every aspect. This is from dealing with customers, to accounting to finances. Small businesses can be faced with all manner of challenges but the way you handle them can help you run it successfully. If you are not well versed with accounting you could hire an accountant. It may cost you some money but in the long run, this expert will help you in managing your finances and you will be able to see whether you are growing or not.

You see, the nature of a new internet home based business opportunity is that it is a learning process. It is new to the newbie and this means that he will do lots of errors. The only way to learn the working methods is to do everything along time.
There is a saying that about 95 % of the newbies will fail with the first internet home based business opportunity. These are people, who have thought that they can succeed without deeper knowhow.

I want to start a home-based business. Any ideas? I can type 65 wpm, I am bilingual (Spanish and English), and I am a freelance writer (published several times.) What would be the best choice of a business to start up with those skills? I really really want to do this and need to do it to help with the bills.

I’m interested in starting my own photography business in the Indiana area. I do not have a degree but I have been ‘hired’ to take pictures for friends and family who wouldn’t other wise be able to afford an expensive photographer.
My questions are this: Where would I start? Who do I register with? Should I rent a building? How would I get a small business loan and where?

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to borrow some money up to $110k to from a relative in China to help me buy a property and start small business in the USA. Do you know how can my relative transfer the money to my bank? Any document the government might require me to provide such as a borrowing receipt or prove source of fund?
Thanks,
KH

A friend and I are hoping to start up a business to cater for the “wedding” and other special events market in our city as we see a vacuum in the market for the “personalised” touch and wonder how we could get started, what to look out for and what pitfalls to avoid – could anyone give us some pointers. Thanks in advance.
