I had wanted to write on this for quite sometime now, but all the same, i know it is never late to do so. One thing about being an entrepreneur is that you tend to get all manner of people coming to you either as customers, business associates, employees, family members, friends or investors.
Quite often i do hear this from them “i want to build a big business” or “i want to be rich.” While i am not against tall ambitions since i am also an ambitious person, i am against big dreams without the willingness to pay the necessary price.

Do you desire to own a thriving business with which you can support you and your family? Do you envision the time when you have countless customers and profits through the roof? Maybe you see yourself at the top of a chain of stores scattered across the country. No matter how big you plan to be, you would be wise to start small and grow at a steady pace.
While you probably think it would be great to start off big if you have the funds to do so, resist this urge since this might be the worst thing that could happen to you. When you start out small and grow at a steady pace, you acquire the wisdom and inside knowledge that cannot be learned from books or taught in the classroom. There is simply no other way to get this information; you must gain it from actual experience.

First you need to have a market of customers you can sell to. Second you need to have a product or service that you can sell to them. Determining if a small business is right for you can be manipulated by other factors that you need to be aware of. So let’s begin the process by establishing your responsibilities in this. First things first, learn as much as you can about the industry, the product and the demand of the service. The worst thing you can do prior to joining a network is repeat quotes about their industry that isn’t true. For example, I was introduced to someone who asked me what industry my business was in. Since I own multiple businesses, I said travel, referring to one of them. Then the guy rambled on about how the travel industry was dead and assumed I wasn’t making a profit. I thought this was so hilarious because the travel industry is the largest industry, even bigger than oil and my team is one of the top producers in the company. So don’t be foolish, do your research and ask lots of questions and make sure to get the answers.

This would be an at-home business… She is not sure if she wants to run some kind of online store or act in some other role, but I’m looking for any ideas. Products to sell, people to work with, and most importantly, businesses she can make a little money in. I figure there are some people out there who can help me with this.
